Distinguished Contribution to Motivation Science Award

About the Award
The Society for the Science of Motivation (SSM) annually confers a Distinguished Contribution to Motivation Science Award to a senior scientist who has made a major theoretical and/or empirical contribution to motivation science. The winner will be recognized at the society’s annual meeting (this year: May 22 in Washington, DC) as well as in the society’s empirical journals: Motivation and Emotion and Motivation Science.
 
Submission Criteria
Nominations must be made by one individual (group nominations will not be considered).
The nominee must be a current member of the SSM.
 
Nominations for the 2025 Distinguished Contribution Award were accepted through March 14, 2025.
